BSA mission: "to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law."

• We build character while acquiring life skills through physical activity, service, comradery, and parental involvement.

• The aims of Scouting include: Character Development, Citizenship Training, Personal Fitness, and Leadership Development

Inclusivity: Pack 637 is a Family pack, meaning we welcome all boys and girls in grades K-5

Meetings: We meet by age level on a bi-weekly basis, as well as one meeting per month for all ages combined.

• The Scouting year coincides with the school year, from Sept-June.

• Some of our Dens meet indoors at Tuckahoe School, or outdoors at various parks or facilities in the community.

Activities: We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, always prizing participation, caring and learning throuhg experience

• Dens usually hike at least once per year, and visit local services, like the Fire Station or Animal Hospital

• The Pack usually camps outdoors twice per year, with trained staff and maximum parental participation, and sponsors trademark activities like the Pinewood Derby and Rocket Day

• Scouts throughout the National Capital Area usually meet once per year at Camp Snyder to experience outdoor activites like archery and rock climbing, as well as STEM activities like robotics.
